Self-funded PhD students

MOVE-AGE enrolls self-funded PhD students in the programme for a limited number of projects (for available projects see below). Self-funded PhD students are PhD students who bring their own research grants or other means of funding; these students do not receive a Erasmus Mundus fellowship and are not employed by one of the MOVE-AGE partner institutes, but are full participants in the programme, receive supervision and guidance by MOVE-AGE PIs and are offered the facilities necessary to complete the PhD project. Preferably, therefore projects would start in October 2013. The tuition fee (fixed per partner institute) and running costs (dependent on the project) will be agreed upon and paid for each year in advance. Should you be interested in a self-funded PhD position within MOVE-AGE, and you have your own financial support, please send an e-mail ( with a motivation letter indicating your research interests and preferably an indication of which PI you would like to work with, your resume and two letters of recommendation. We will evaluate your application and get back to you within a month of receiving your application.
